Gemelos Taverna

City: Corinth, Greece

Adress: Village Square next to Ancient Corinth

Date: July 25, 2013

Meal: Lunch

Tales from my travels: I have loved Ancient Greece and its mythology since I was about 9 years old. Visiting Greece was a dream come true especially when we visited Corinth and saw the temple of Apollo, my favorite god. Ancient Corinth was a really a very interesting place, showing the overlap of the Greek, Roman and Christian cultures. After visiting, we had lunch at Gemelos Taverna, which is by one of the exits of the site. We ate on the roof balcony overlooking the ancient city. They serve traditional Greek food (I had the spanakopita, or Greek spinach pie). They also serve freshly squeezed orange juice made with oranges from the owner’s own orchard. Good service and beautiful view.
