Tales from my travels: We were driving up the hill that lead to Mycenae, the ancient stronghold, one of the most important centers of the ancient civilization and one of the most important Greek historical sites. As we climbed the hill, my dad retold the story of the Lion Gate and Agamemnon’s palace. He told of the Clytemnestra’s betrayal and of the beehive tombs we would find in the ancient city. But first, we had to stop for lunch. We stopped at a place conveniently located on the road to the site. We had a pleasant lunch out on their patio. They serve traditional Greek food such as souvlaki, pastitsio and mousaka (what I had) and also have set menus that include an entrée, salad and dessert. Unfortunately, they do not have a website.
