Tales from my travels: To be perfectly honest, there isn’t much to do in San Simeon. It’s a tiny little town on the coast with a very poor internet connection (that’s another story). They do have the Hearst Castle, which we did not visit. We were also excited to see whales as we were arriving. Still, if you find yourself in this little village, I do highly recommend this restaurant. It’s a cute little restaurant that is family-run and has a beautiful view of the coast. You can watch the sun set through the porthole-like windows. Our server seemed a little intimidating at first but she turned out to be really nice. They have fresh seafood, steaks as well as some vegetarian options. Once we had ordered our food, they brought us a basket of warm sourdough bread. I had the delicious Linguini Primavera but was seriously tempted by the Portabella Mushroom Ravioli.
